It is within walking distance of Rodborough and Minchinhampton Commons with its two splendid golf courses. Close by are the villages of Woodchester, Nailsworth and Minchinhampton, which offer a wide variety of quality specialist shops .

Nearby Stroud affords all of the facilities of a larger town, with Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Somerfield competing for your business as well as a large leisure centre; with a swimming pool and many other sporting facilities.

There are two local pubs and many local restaurants. Within a short car ride you have the delights of Bath, Cirencester, or Gloucester and to the north, the heart of the Cotswolds; with such beautiful villages as Bibury, Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold.
